YMS MERIT SCHOLARSHIP FOR GRADUATING SENIORS

The Yardley Makefield Soccer Association will be awarding a scholarship in the amount
of $1,000 to a deserving YMS player graduating high school and will be attending
college in the U.S. for the upcoming fall semester.
Guidelines:
• All applicants must be planning to attend a U.S. college or university in the fall of
the upcoming year and have a minimum GPA of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale.
• Applicant seeking consideration should complete the application and meet all guidelines:
To be eligible, high school students must also provide the following documents
• High School Transcript with a minimum GPA of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale ( upload as an attachment)
• Application Form
• Letter of Recommendation ( upload as an attachment)
• Essay based on “what qualities have I gained from my soccer experience that will
help me excel in the future?
Applications are due back no later than May 31st of the year you are applying for
the scholarship.
The Scholarship Committee will review all applications and choose the winner.
The winner will be personally notified by phone. Scholarships will be given to student/
players who have demonstrated exceptional involvement and service to the community and is a member in good standing with the YMS organization.

All applications must be in by April 15th. This scholarship is for graduation high school seniors and members of YMS only.
